The Grand River Spey Clave originated in 2007 and over the years has become one of the biggest Claves in North America. Top instructors from around the world have attended and shown their skills in Traditional, Skagit, and Scandinavian Spey techniques on the banks of the picturesque Grand River (Lower Grand Watershed). Simon Gawesworth, Scott MacKenzie and Steve Rajeff have been the highlights at previous Claves.
A group of 250 plus people will gather along the banks of the Grand River, at Brant Park Conservation Area, Brantford Ontario.
The Clave offers free demos by the top instructors, equipment from the top fly fishing companies in the business, great food, and of course the camaraderie of all the speyniacs in one beautiful area.
This year the Clave will be sponsored by Friends of the Grand River with all proceeds from the raffle helping and improving The Grand River Watershed fishery.
Stayed tuned for updates as Randy Wilson (clave organizer) is promising 2013 to be another great event!!!
