Every year, Winter Hatches organizes a Fly Tying Symposium. We bring together some of the best tyers available to coach you in the art of fly-tying. It’s an opportunity to meet fly-tying aficionados from across Ontario and elsewhere. People come to learn how to tie flies, exchange ideas and swap fishing stories.
We are very pleased to announce that the 2014 Symposium will take place on Sunday, March 2.
As usual, we will be offering a Beginners’ Class that provides a thorough introduction to tying essential flies for Ontario fish. You will learn about attractor flies, nymphs, streamers and dry flies.
We are also presenting special sessions with some great fly tyers who know not just how to tie some really nifty flies, but can also offer advice on how to fish them. The list includes:
