Getting the Best out of Our Switch Rods: Learn how to Cast, Line, and Fish Them.
If you are having trouble casting your switch rods, can’t seem to find a line to fit your rod, or simply can’t seem to catch a fish on one, then you need to take this course. If you’re thinking abut buying a switch rod, then you need to take this course. If your switch rod is sitting in the back of a closet collecting dust as it has you frustrated, then you really need to take this course. Dust it off and bring it along.
Switch rods have become very popular over the past few years, but they have actually been around over 100 years. Only the name is recent.
The idea behind a switch rod is that it can be cast with either one hand or two. The rods are equally at home with either Spey lines or single hand lines designed for overhead casting.
Despite this, most people tend to use their switch rods one-dimensionally, so as a consequence they don’t get to enjoy the full range of what these rods can do and their fishing enjoyment ends up limited.
This course is intended to instruct the beginner and the experienced angler alike on how to cast, select lines for these rods and how best to fish them. If you don’t have a switch rod, we will have some on hand for you to use. We will also have a large range of lines available for experimentation. Learn what lines will work on your rod for your fishing.
The limited enrolment will allow us to tailor the instruction to the requirements of each angler. So if casting instruction is the only need for one individual, we can do that. If fishing technique with switch rods is the only requirement, we can do that as well. We have six hours to work with so we will be able to cover a lot of ground.
The main benefit of this course is to improve our fishing with switch rods, by improving our casting, our line selection, and our casting choices which ultimately leads to better fishing enjoyment.
