Brian Primeau was a dyed-in-the-wool trout angler until a few years ago when he rediscovered an old haunt – The St Clair river. As 1000 foot freighters, wave-runners and boats of all types buzzed past, Brian was hauling in good numbers and sizes of Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Gar, Silver Bass, Carp and the odd Musky using only a 6 weight single-hand and a 6 weight switch rod.
The fishing was so amazing that Brian purchased a property along the St. Clair and ordered a flats skiff from which he will begin guiding the St. Clair River and Lake St. Clair beginning in the summer of 2015.
Brian will also tie a unique fly he created for gar and bass – “Follow the leader”
