This has been one of my oldest patterns in my goto fly box. It has worked for me around the world and caught just about every type of trout.
It is not an original but a twist on a New Zealand pattern I picked up while I was down there.
For best results on on the body use the touch dub method and do not forget to give the fly a good once over with a dubbing brush.
