Chris will be doing a presentation on Steelhead fly design. Specifically, how to select materials based on the type water you intend to fish. He will discuss what materials move best in slow water versus fast water.
Techniques to be covered will include, reverse tying, dubbing loops, using collars to funnel water, and how to prop materials open to prevent collapse. Chris will demonstrate these techniques by tying two versions of a Popsicle ( one on a hook and one on a tube).
He will, also show how the Popsicle can be used as a starting point for other patterns.
