Sasha is a Fisheries Biologist with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry in Owen Sound. He has worked in fisheries since 1996 and received diplomas in Aquaculture, and Fish and Wildlife from Sir Sanford Fleming College; and an Honours B.Sc. degree in Biology and Environmental Science from Trent University. Along with work as a biologist he is also in the midst of completing a Master’s Degree from Lakehead University with research based in recreational angling.

As a Biologist he is involved in a number of management activities on Lake Huron. This includes steelhead management, and currently conducting a creel survey on the Saugeen River.

Sasha is also an avid angler and hunter having targeted several fish and wildlife species over the past 25 years. He has only dabbled in the world of fly fishing but continues to explore opportunities with his center-pin, and pushes the envelope having outfitted his stand-up-paddleboard for downrigging, targeting salmon and trout.
